There are certain people I wouldn’t grieve for after they die.
Because the truth is, when
You grieve the living for so long.
You have already accepted that.
That they are gone from your life.
Memories might come up, but you will remember why.
They can only ever be,
Memories in the first place.
But grieving someone who has died and was a constant presence in your life
Let me tell you, that’s much
Harder than grieving the living.
Not having that constant person.
You will never hear their voice in person again.
You can never contact,
You can never call,
You can never text,
You can never hug,
You can never joke with
Ever again
That changes the core of
And my dear even though
Who you really are
Keep their memories alive.
You will never be the same
Again. You can be better
That’s who they would have
Wanted you to be
Keep your heart open wide
